Donrex's investment casting capability
Investment casting is a manufacturing process by using a wax pattern surrounded by a refractory slurry that hardens into mold, and then pouring molten metal into the mold to form product.
With world-class investment casting technology, Donrex has capabilities of producing products in hundreds of materials in eight categories, namely stainless steel, alloy steel, tool steel, copper alloy, aluminum alloy, high temperature alloys, carbon steel and cast iron. In addition, we can tailor-make products for customers according to their special requirements on materials.
Our state of the art investment casting facility is equipped with advanced and imported production and quality control machines, such as automatic wax injection machines, robotic shell making systems, vacuum furnaces, five-axis and four-axis CNC machining centers, direct-reading spectrometers and coordinate measuring machines(CMM). The present annual production capacity of investment casting products is 8,000 tonnes.
Our investment casting products are sold to all of our major end markets. Our representative investment casting products include engine parts, automotive parts, marine parts, aerospace parts and medical parts.
Our engineers use advanced 3D software for mold design and production, and we are able to design molds for customers according to the formats of 3D solid molds they provide. Types of mold we design include semi-automatic and fully automatic mold, and we use the CMM for inspection of the mold dimensions.
With advanced mold manufacturing equipment, we ensure the accuracy of our products in terms of dimension, cavity and surface roughness. This not only enhances the speed of production, but also ensure timely delivery to meet customer requirements.
Equipped with ProJet 3-D rapid prototyping equipment, we can directly manufacture high quality and high precision complex models through our advance technology and quickly produce prototype samples, thereby significantly shortening the product development cycle time and improve the manufacturing flexibility.
